Dr. Hardage's research focuses on full-elastic seismic data acquisition using low-cost P-wave sources, aiming to reduce costs and expand S-wave seismology applications across challenging terrains. His work has led to four patents and the formation of VertiShear, a company commercializing this technology.
He previously served as President of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (2011-2012) and was editor of SEG's journal Geophysics. Recent successes include partnerships with the Energy Frontier Research Center at the University of Illinois for CO2 sequestration research and global webinars through SEG.
