Bob Gould serves as a Professor of Broadcast Journalism at Michigan State University's School of Journalism, where he has taught visual storytelling and broadcasting for 17 years. With 34 years of industry experience spanning local TV news to documentary production, he is a distinguished educator and award-winning journalist.
His professional expertise centers on broadcast journalism, visual storytelling, and documentary filmmaking, with emphasis on rigorous photojournalism and ethical news production. He has produced impactful television stories including an Emmy-winning documentary on Hurricane Maria that also received the BEA's Best of Competition Award.
His accolades include:
- Edward L. Bliss Award for Distinguished Broadcast Journalism Education (2022)
- NPPA Robin F. Garland Outstanding Educator Award (2017)
