Bo Yuan is an Associate Professor at the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics, Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in genetics and genomics. His research focuses on copy number variants (CNVs), Mendelian disorders, and neurodevelopmental genetics.
- Education: BS from Nankai University (2009), PhD from Baylor College of Medicine (2015), Postdoctoral Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine (2019).
Bo Yuan’s research explores the genetic basis of congenital disorders, variant interpretation, and clinical exome sequencing. He has contributed significantly to understanding CNVs in autosomal recessive diseases and genomic medicine applications.
His recent publications highlight advancements in AI-driven diagnostics, variant prioritization, and genetic mechanisms in neurodevelopmental and immunological conditions. Key areas include Mendelian disorders, haploinsufficiency, and genomic architecture.
- Memberships: American Society of Human Genetics (Member, 2013), American College of Medical Genetics (Member, 2018).
