Bo Yang is a Professor at the School of Landscape Architecture and Planning at the University of Arizona, where he serves as Associate Dean for Research. He previously worked at Utah State University and Texas A&M University before joining the University of Arizona. His academic background includes a PhD in Urban and Regional Sciences, a Master of Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China.

Bo Yang’s research focuses on green infrastructure design, low-impact development, landscape performance assessment, and environmental planning and technology. His work has been supported by grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF), and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
His recent publications span public health communication, stigma and behavioral intentions, tobacco policy, and digital health messaging. While these topics diverge from his primary expertise, they reflect interdisciplinary collaborations or secondary research interests.
