Bo Norrving is a Professor in Neurology at Lund University, Sweden, with over 300 publications on clinical stroke research. He founded Riksstroke, the world's first national stroke registry, and chairs the WSO Global Policy Committee. As former President of the World Stroke Organization (2008–2012), he remains a key liaison with WHO and the UN.
Research Interests: His work focuses on stroke policy, quality improvement in stroke care, post-stroke rehabilitation, secondary prevention, and anticoagulant therapy in stroke patients. He leads a research group analyzing national and international stroke data, including collaborations with Umeå University, UK's SSNAP registry, and the Global Burden of Disease group at IHME.
