Blerita Korca

Dr. Blerita Korca is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research and Teaching Assistant at the Chair of Management Accounting, University of Bamberg, Germany. Her work focuses on Sustainability Accounting & Reporting, particularly in voluntary and mandatory regimes, materiality, and comparability in sustainability disclosures. She has held visiting scholar positions at the University of Pavia, Schulich School of Business (York University), and University of Essex.

• Education: Doctor in Economics and Management (University of Trento), Master’s in Economics and Management (University of Bologna), Bachelor’s in Banking, Finance and Accounting (University of Prishtina).
• Professional Experience: Includes roles at Climate & Company (part-time consultant and junior analyst), University of Trento (Research Collaborator), and University of Bologna (Degree Programme Tutor).

Her accolades include the Outstanding Paper Award (Emerald Publishing, 2024) and the Sustainability Research Award (University of Bamberg, 2023). She serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Accounting & Organizational Change, Accounting Forum, and Sustainability Accounting and Management Policy Journal, and is the European Ambassador for Accounting for Impact.
