Blake Grindon is a Patrick Henry Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of History at Johns Hopkins University's Krieger School of Arts & Sciences. She holds a PhD from Princeton University and specializes in cultural history focusing on war and colonialism in eighteenth-century North America.

She investigates the development of racial ideas in relation to intercultural brokerage, captivity, and warfare, using visual and material sources to connect global political events with individual experiences.
