Blake Bextine is an Associate Professor (and Interim Chair) in the Department of Biology at the University of Texas at Tyler. He also serves as the Director of Research Development for the College of Arts and Sciences, focusing on guiding faculty in securing extramural funding. His academic career spans roles including Assistant Professor (2005-2010), Post-Doctoral Researcher at UC Riverside, and Graduate Research/Teaching Assistantships at Oklahoma State University and Texas Tech University.
