Blair Dean

Dr. Blair Dean is a Professor in the Department of Health, Physical Education and Sport Sciences at Arkansas State University, serving as Program Director for Physical Education. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas (2000) and master's and bachelor's degrees from Arkansas State University. Her career spans preschool to university levels, emphasizing physical activity integration for young children. She has received national recognition, including the AR-AHPERD’s highest honor and the President’s Council on Fitness award. Dean chairs the Arkansas Governor’s Council on Fitness and contributed to Act 1220 to improve child health in Arkansas. She teaches online courses in First Aid and Safety and Physical Education Curriculum, advocating for active lifestyles through her research and leadership.
