Dr. Blaine Hatt is a Professor in the Schulich School of Education at Nipissing University, part of the Faculty of Education and Professional Studies. As a full-time faculty member and graduate program contributor, his expertise spans teacher education, educational policy, and imaginative pedagogy. He holds a PhD from the University of Alberta and prior degrees from the University of New Brunswick.
His research focuses on Imagination Creativity Education (ICE), teacher professional development, and systemic challenges in hiring/supporting educators. Notable work includes analyzing ICE integration in curricula and exploring barriers faced by newly certified teachers in Ontario. He also examines international practicum experiences and online learning dynamics.
