Björn Sjögren is an Associate Professor at Linköping University, affiliated with the Department of Behavioural Sciences and Learning and the Division of Education, Teaching and Learning (PEDI). His research focuses on bullying dynamics in schools, particularly bystander roles, moral disengagement, and interventions to prevent peer victimization. He collaborates with the Nordic Educational Research Association (NERA) and the Bullying Research Network (BRNET).
Teaching responsibilities include courses on educational psychology, social relationships, and bullying for aspiring teachers. His research group, the School Bullying Research Group, examines diverse bullying forms (physical, verbal, cyber) and contextual factors influencing student behavior. He has published extensively on bullying prevalence measurement, bystander behavior predictors, and moral mechanisms linked to aggressive behavior.
