Bjorn Hinderaker

Bjorn Hinderaker is an Assistant Professor at NLA University College, Kristiansand, specializing in ethics, practical theology, and worldview studies. His work bridges theological inquiry with media ethics and cultural analysis.

• Education: Hebrew Language (University of Oslo, 1987), Cand.Theol. (Det teologiske menighetsfakultet, 1989), Ide History (University of Oslo, 1993), and Higher Education Pedagogy (NLA Høgskolen, 2022).

His research focuses on Christian worldview apologetics, media ethics, and interdisciplinary approaches to religion and science. He has contributed to projects like the Norhed initiative on media ethics in Uganda (2013-2018).

Recent publications explore curriculum development in Christian higher education and worldview theory as a framework in media studies.

Hinderaker teaches core courses in the Communication and Worldview (KL) program, including Christian Apologetics, Biblical Interpretation, and Global Media Ethics at both bachelor's and master's levels. He also coordinates foundational courses like Examen philosophicum.

Through Damaris Norway, he engages in public dissemination on topics such as the defense of faith, the resurrection of Jesus, and reconciling Christianity with science and modernity.
