Bisera Veljković serves as Assistant Professor of Complementary Piano at the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš since 2003, maintaining an active dual career as both performer and pedagogue within the Serbian musical landscape.
Her academic foundation includes graduation from the Faculty of Arts in Priština under Prof. Dragoslav Aćimović, followed by an MA degree earned in 2008 under the same mentor. She refined her artistry through master classes with Prof. N. Starkman, Prof. D. Katunac, and Prof. A. Valdma during her studies.
As a performer, Veljković maintains a robust concert presence with full-evening solo recitals across Vranje, Zvečan, Prokuplje, and Niš, while her chamber music work features permanent membership in the Perla trio and piano quartet D-Art. Her ensemble has delivered notable performances at Belgrade's Endowment of Ilija M. Kolarac, and she regularly appears at major festivals including IHS, NIMUS, and LEDAMUS through collaborations with conductors such as Suzana Kostić, Rade Pejčić, and Zoran Stanisavljević.
Her pedagogical impact is demonstrated through students securing seven first prizes and four second prizes in national competitions, reflecting her effectiveness in developing competitive pianists.
Through sustained engagement with the Perla trio and D-Art quartet, Veljković maintains significant artistic output that bridges academic instruction with professional performance practice.
