Birgitte Stampe Holst is an associated researcher at the Leibniz Center for Modern Orient (since 2024) and a former postdoc at the Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies, University of Copenhagen (2021-2023). Her work focuses on political anthropology and migration studies, particularly examining how memories of authoritarianism shape Syrian refugees' political subjectivity in Germany, Denmark, Lebanon, Turkey, and Jordan.
