Birgitta Borghoff

Birgitta Borghoff is a Lecturer and Senior Researcher at Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), holding affiliations across multiple schools including the School of Applied Linguistics and School of Management and Law. She actively contributes to the ZHAW Sustainable Impact Program as a Board Member and leads creative initiatives as Managing Director of brückenwege and INNOVANTIQUA. Her academic roles span teaching, research, and consulting in Entrepreneurial Storytelling, Creative Agility, and Innovation Design.

Education includes a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics (ZHAW) and additional studies in Business Administration, Tourism, and Advanced Studies in University Didactics and Philosophy. Her research focuses on narrative practices in organizational development, digital health communication, and cultural entrepreneurship, with a strong emphasis on discourse analysis and design thinking methodologies.

Awards include the FGF Cultural Entrepreneurship Award for innovative project leadership. Her work bridges academia and practice through over 70 publications, including peer-reviewed articles on Science Fiction Prototyping, Creative Agility frameworks, and antibiotic resistance discourses. She actively engages in interdisciplinary projects like the Real-World Laboratory for Future Skills and immersive AI literacy initiatives.
