Bingqing Cheng

Bingqing Cheng is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, with an upcoming start date in January 2024. He has previously held academic positions at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (2021-) and the University of Cambridge (Junior Research Fellow, 2019-; Departmental Early Career Fellow, 2020-2021).

His research focuses on extending the scope of atomistic simulations using quantum mechanics, machine learning, and enhanced sampling techniques. Key applications include energy materials, aqueous systems, and matter under extreme conditions.
