Bing Liu is a Distinguished Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in the Department of Computer Science. He earned his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh and previously held a faculty position at the National University of Singapore (NUS) School of Computing. His research spans Sentiment Analysis, Lifelong Learning, Chatbot development, Natural Language Processing, Data Mining, and Machine Learning. Liu has made significant contributions to the field, exemplified by three Test-of-Time awards from SIGKDD and WSDM, and the prestigious ACM SIGKDD Innovation Award.
