Dr. Bindu Nanduri is a Professor at the Missippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, specializing in Genomics, Bioinformatics, and Infectious diseases. She holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences (1998), an M.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Rookee (1992), and a B.S. in Botany (1989).
Her research focuses on pathogen-host interactions, machine learning applications in veterinary medicine, and transcriptomic/proteomic analysis of livestock diseases, particularly bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and Salmonella prevalence in poultry. She has pioneered "no-boundary thinking" approaches for integrative bioinformatics and developed tools like the Proteogenomic Mapping Tool and HPIDB for host-pathogen interactions.
Key publication trends show expertise in bovine health biomarkers, polyamine metabolism in pathogens, and AI-driven microbiome analysis. She has presented at conferences including MCBIOS, World Buiatrics Congress, and International Plant and Animal Genome meetings.
