Bin Mai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering. His research focuses on Information Technology Service Management, Cybersecurity decision making, and the behavioral aspects of IT management. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Science – Information Systems from the University of Texas at Dallas (2006), an M.S. in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University (1999), and a B.S. in Business from the University of International Business and Economics in China (1995).
His research interests emphasize cybersecurity education, economic analyses of IT/IS systems, and strategic cybersecurity software strategies. He has been recognized with the 2018 Decision Analysis Special Recognition Award for his work on cybersecurity games. Mai’s publications explore topics such as cybersecurity software design, virtual reality educational tools, and neuroscientific approaches to decision-making in information security. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in technology management education and supply chain risk propagation.
