Lance N. Decker is a Visiting Senior Lecturer in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University's College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering, an M.Eng. in Technology Management, and a BAAS from The University of Texas at Tyler. His research focuses on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Internet of Things (IoT), and Commercial Motor Vehicle Stability & Tires, addressing technological and safety innovations in transportation systems.
Dr. Decker has been recognized with the Tillman Scholar and Dwight D. Eisenhower Transportation Research Fellow awards, reflecting his contributions to transportation technology. His work bridges theoretical research and practical industrial applications, particularly in smart logistics and vehicle safety systems.
He is affiliated with Texas A&M University's College Station campus, located at 106 Ross Street, College Station, TX. His office is in Fermier Hall, and the department can be reached at etid@tamu.edu.
