Bin Liu is the William H. Honstead Professor in Chemical Engineering at Kansas State University. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology (2003) and a Ph.D. from Colorado School of Mines (2008). His research focuses on computational catalysis using first-principles-based methods like density functional theory to accelerate catalyst development.
