Bin Jiang is an Assistant Professor with a joint appointment at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and McCormick School of Engineering. She specializes in regenerative engineering solutions for vascular complications, including peripheral artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, and diabetic vascular issues. Her work integrates biomaterials, stem cell technology, imaging, and animal models. Dr. Jiang holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and completed postdoctoral training at Northwestern.
Her research focuses on developing innovative therapies such as thermoresponsive hydrogels, peptide-functionalized biomaterials, and cell-based treatments for vascular regeneration. She has authored over 30 publications and patents, funded by NIH, AHA, and internal grants. Awards include the American Heart Association's Career Development and Transformational Project Awards.
Dr. Jiang's lab emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and mentors trainees in regenerative engineering. Key areas include circadian rhythm impacts on vascular health, sympathetic nerve modulation in aneurysms, and imaging technologies for tracking cell therapies. She is affiliated with the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS) and multiple professional societies.
