Billy Quilty

Billy Quilty is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Charité - University Medicine Berlin's Center for Global Health, specializing in infectious disease epidemiology and mathematical modeling. He is based at the Charité Mitte Campus (CCM) within the Global Health department (CC 11).

Dr. Quilty's educational background includes:

• PhD from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) focused on modeling quarantine and testing strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic
• MSc in Epidemiology from Imperial College London

His research spans multiple critical areas in global health:

• Evaluating pneumococcal vaccine impact
• Modeling pandemic response measures as part of SPI-M (a UK SAGE subgroup)
• Contributing to the 2018 Ebola response with the WHO
• Investigating serological protection thresholds and travel-related transmission risks for COVID-19
