Bill Balaskas is an Associate Professor and Director of Research, Business and Innovation at the School of Arts, Kingston University (since May 2019). He also serves as the Founding Director of the Centre for Practice Research in the Arts, established in November 2022. His work bridges artistic practice, theory, and education, focusing on contemporary political issues and globalisation's visual culture.

Research interests include the dissemination of culture in the post-truth era, curatorial practices, and collaborative research between academia and the cultural sector. His work has been exhibited globally in over 140 institutions and published in journals like Journal of Visual Culture and Third Text. He co-edited Institution as Praxis (2020) and authored Fabricating Publics (2021).
