Dr. Biljana Kotevska is a socio-legal feminist scholar at the European University Institute (EUI), affiliated with the Max Weber Programme for Postdoctoral Studies and the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. Her research focuses on equality law, intersectional discrimination, and socio-legal challenges in post-Yugoslav states.
- Education: PhD in Law (Queen’s University Belfast), LLM in International Human Rights Law (University of Essex), MA in Democracy and Human Rights (Universities of Sarajevo & Bologna), LLB (Ss. Cyril and Methodius University).
Her empirical work spans Europe, with projects like the EUI-funded FOLIO initiative, addressing contemporary legal and social justice issues. She teaches EU internal market law, gender equality, and fundamental rights.
