Bikash Baral is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences, University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Organismal and Evolutionary Biology Research Programme. His research focuses on Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, and plant stress responses. Contact: bikash.baral@helsinki.fi.
- Education: PhD in Biochemistry from University of Turku.
Research Interests span plant cell death mechanisms, natural variation in plant defense signaling, and the medicinal potential of fungi. Recent work includes comprehensive reviews on the therapeutic and industrial applications of maitake and Turkey tail mushrooms.
