Biao Huang

Biao Huang is a Professor at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering. He holds the Senior University of Alberta Engineering Research Chair in Smart Automation and has previously held the NSERC Senior Industrial Research Chair in Control of Oil Sands Processes (2011-2022) and AITF Industry Chair in Process Control (2013-2018). His research focuses on Process Control, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics with applications in industrial processes, particularly oil sands development.
