Dr. Bhumika Uniyal is affiliated with the Department of Earth Science at the University of Bayreuth. She holds a teaching assignment at the Professorship of Ecological Services (PES) since 2021 and served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow from April 2020 to February 2023. Her research focuses on hydrological modeling, climate change impacts, and ecosystem services assessment, particularly within the AquaKlif and LandKlif projects analyzing water quality and sustainable agriculture in Bavaria.
- Education:
- Ph.D. in Hydrology & Water Resources Management (2015–2019), Leibniz University Hannover
- M.Sc. in Land & Water Resources Engineering (2012–2014), IIT Kharagpur
- B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering (2008–2012), GBPUA&T, Pantnagar
Her research interests include hydrological modeling (e.g., SWAT applications), climate change impact assessments, and ecosystem services evaluation. She has contributed to studies on water quality modeling, irrigation demand simulations, and the effects of abandoned mines on hydrological processes.
Dr. Uniyal’s publications span topics like SWAT model modifications, climate change impacts on water resources, and remote sensing integration in hydrological studies. She has collaborated on projects addressing urban heat mitigation and groundwater flow modeling in karst areas.
While no awards are listed, her work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to environmental challenges. Her current projects focus on Bavaria’s water quality and agricultural sustainability under climate change.
