He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas and completed his earlier education at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in India.
Dr. Bondada’s work integrates microscopy and physiological studies to address industry challenges, such as berry shrivel and water stress. His lab investigates ampelography, hydraulic architecture, and anatomical adaptations. Recent research includes studies on calcium functionality, 2,4-D phytotoxicity, and grapevine vigor mechanisms.
He teaches courses in viticulture, plant physiology, and horticulture, advising graduate students on topics like cultivar identification and drought-resistant grape varieties. Key publications include analyses of berry shrivel symptomatology and novel microscopy techniques.
