Bhargav Dave is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Aalto University. He is affiliated with the Främling Kary group and the Performance in Building Design and Construction team. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in education and sustainable infrastructure.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Salford (2014). His research focuses on integrating IT in construction, Lean Construction methodologies, BIM, IoT applications, and knowledge management. Notable collaborations include projects on BIM-ERP-IoT modules and cloud-based IoT platforms for asset management.
His publications emphasize synergies between virtual design and lean construction, as well as frameworks for BIM-IoT integration using open standards. He led the VisiLean project (2014–2015), exploring innovative production management and quality control via 3D imaging.
