Bex Hewett

Dr. Bex Hewett is Associate Professor at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, specializing in work design and organizational behavior. As Research Lead for the People and Self-Managing Organisations project, she investigates how organizational structures impact workers' lives while achieving business objectives.

Research focus: Examines work motivation through self-determination theory, accountability systems in HR implementation, and management of self-organizing teams. Current projects explore how GenAI influences employee creativity and leadership practices in technology-driven workplaces.

Academic leadership: Academic Director of ERIM's part-time PhD program and Associate Editor of Human Resource Management Review. Teaches in executive education programs for HR professionals.
