Beverly Weiss Manne is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, affiliated with Tucker Arensberg PC. She chairs the firm’s Insolvency and Creditors’ Rights Department and has extensive experience representing creditors, lessors, and buyers in high-profile bankruptcy cases and distressed financial situations.
Education: JD, University of Pittsburgh School of Law (1981); BA, University of Pittsburgh (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa).
Her practice focuses on bankruptcy law, commercial finance, and complex creditor representation, including notable cases such as the Harrisburg Chapter 9 bankruptcy, Lehman Brothers, Pilgrim’s Pride, and Bethlehem Steel. She previously served on Tucker Arensberg’s Board of Directors (1998–2014) and worked as Assistant Counsel at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, handling loan-related legal matters.
Manne also represents the Receiver in the receivership of the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, demonstrating her expertise in both judicial and non-judicial restructuring.
