James Reid

James Reid serves as a Moot Coach at the Thompson Rivers University (TRU) Faculty of Law, where he specifically coaches the Davies Corporate/Securities Moot team. He maintains a dual professional role as a Partner in the Restructuring & Insolvency group at Miller Thomson LLP in Calgary.

Mr. Reid's professional expertise centers on corporate restructuring and insolvency law. His practice encompasses a wide range of legal matters including:

• Corporate reorganizations and arrangements
• Receiverships and bankruptcy proceedings
• Security reviews and enforcement
• Domestic and cross-border insolvency cases

He represents various stakeholders in these proceedings including secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, purchasers, and court officers.
