Beverly Rubin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Education at the Tufts University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the regulation of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) and the impact of endocrine disruptors like bisphenol A (BPA) on reproductive health and metabolic systems. She investigates how early-life exposures to environmental chemicals influence reproductive aging, body weight regulation, and developmental programming.
Dr. Rubin holds a PhD from Rutgers University (1981) and a BA from Douglas College, Canada (1973). She has been affiliated with Tufts since 1988, progressing through roles such as Research Assistant Professor and Assistant Professor before attaining her current rank in 2019. Her work is supported by grants from the NIH, including studies on BPA's effects on obesity and metabolic complications.
She contributes to medical education through teaching courses in Neuroscience, Physiology, and Addiction Medicine. Her professional service includes roles on the NIH Review Panel for Career Development K99 Applications, the Tufts Faculty Senate, and committees for curriculum development and student ethics.
Her accolades include the Outstanding Lecturer award (2014–2019) and recognition for Excellence in Teaching (2017).
