Beverly Evans

Beverly Evans, DA, is a Professor of Sport Management in the Department of Allied Health, Kinesiology, and Sport Sciences at Southeast Missouri State University. With over 25 years of experience in the recreation field, she brings extensive expertise in aquatics and programming to her academic role.

Education:

• D.A. in Education - Middle Tennessee State University
• M.S. in Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Safety - Middle Tennessee State University
• B.S. in Health and Physical Education - Tennessee Wesleyan College

Research Interests: Professor Evans focuses on sport management and recreation administration, with particular expertise in aquatics programming and women's fitness initiatives. Her research examines gender dynamics in fitness environments, as evidenced by her publication on women's fitness bootcamps in Feminismo/s journal.

Professional Service: She has served as Faculty Senate Representative and Faculty Associate to CSTL (Center for Scholarship in Teaching and Learning) from 2013-2017. She is actively involved with The Academy of Leisure Sciences.
