Dr. Betty A. Block is a Professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Her educational background includes a B.S. in Elementary Education with Physical Education Specialization (1976), M.S. in Physical Education (1978), and Ed.D. in Physical Education and Recreation (1989), all from East Texas State University (now TAMUC). She has held significant administrative roles including Interim Department Head of Educational Leadership (2018) and Associate Provost (2014-2016).
Her research explores human embodiment through multiple lenses including:
