Dr. Betsy Beers is a Professor of Entomology and Extension Entomologist at Washington State University (WSU), based at the Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center (TFREC) in Wenatchee. Her work focuses on insect and mite pest management in tree fruits, particularly apples, pears, cherries, and stone fruits. She leads research on biological control, pesticide impacts, and integrated pest management (IPM) strategies, including projects on the brown marmorated stink bug and codling moth.
