Bethany Robertson is a Lecturer in Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Leeds, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences and the School of Sociology and Social Policy. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of York and an MA in Social Research. Her research focuses on rural sociology, food systems, gender identities, and human-animal relations, employing ethnographic and feminist methodologies. She has collaborated with policy-makers on food security and labor issues in farming sectors.

Research Highlights:
Her work includes studies on women farmers' embodiment and gender identity negotiation, social media use by farmers, and the impact of post-Brexit immigration policies on seasonal migrant workers. She co-authored a report for the Low Pay Commission on Accommodation Offset policies in agriculture.
Teaching:
Module Lead for 'Food & Society', 'Debates in Childhood & Youth', and 'Researching Gender/Feminist Research Methods'. She promotes inclusive pedagogies and academic literacy support for first-year students.
