Bethan Page is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford. She holds a BA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Clinical Psychology from the University of Leiden, and a DPhil from Oxford. Her research focuses on healthcare quality improvement, patient safety, and supporting family caregivers of children with complex medical needs. Currently, she works on the Quality, Safety and Outcomes Policy Research Unit, investigating strategies to manage hospital pressures and improve integrated care systems.
Her DPhil work developed educational videos for families caring for children with gastrostomies, emphasizing empowerment and emotional support. She collaborates closely with clinicians and NHS organizations like the Oxford Patient Safety Collaborative. Key projects include analyzing surgical teams' adaptive strategies under pressure and evaluating the implementation of integrated care systems in England.
