Beth Potter

Beth Potter is an Associate Professor at the School of Epidemiology and Public Health, University of Ottawa, and holds the University Research Chair in Health Services for Children with Rare Diseases. She is also an Affiliate Investigator at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute and Adjunct Scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences.

Her research focuses on healthcare services for children with rare diseases, with emphasis on newborn screening programs, inherited metabolic disorders, and family-centered care models. She specializes in epidemiological approaches to improve early diagnosis and intervention strategies for rare pediatric conditions.

Dr. Potter leads multiple collaborative projects developing patient registries for rare diseases and evaluating healthcare delivery models. Her work informs clinical guidelines and policy development for neonatal screening programs across Canada.
