Beth Moracco

Beth Moracco is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Associate Director of the UNC Injury Prevention Research Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Gillings School of Global Public Health. She specializes in violence prevention, particularly gender-based violence in global and domestic contexts. Her research emphasizes evaluating interventions, policies, and community engagement to address violence prevention and health disparities.

Grants & Projects: Leads studies funded by the National Institute of Justice and CDC, including evaluations of domestic violence protective orders, firearm surrender policies, and refugee support programs. She also evaluates sexual violence prevention initiatives like Wise Guys: The Next Level.
