Dr. Beth Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Psychology at Nottingham Trent University, specializing in health disparities among marginalized populations. She teaches modules including Research Methods, Health Psychology, and Gender Identity, and supervises students across undergraduate, MSc, and doctoral levels. Her research focuses on improving healthcare access for transgender individuals, developing interventions for minority health, and evaluating social prescribing programs. She holds a BSc (First Class), MSc in Health Psychology, and a PhD in transgender health (Loughborough University). Jones collaborates with institutions like the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health and international experts, and her work has been published in journals such as International Journal of Transgender Health and Journal of Family Psychology. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and an invited reviewer for top-tier journals.
Current projects include family support for trans youth, social prescribing initiatives, and LGBTQ+ stigma reduction.
