Bertus Jeronimus is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences, University of Groningen, specializing in Developmental Psychology. His research explores the interplay of daily life stress, emotion dynamics, and personality traits (notably neuroticism) in psychopathology, including anxiety, depression, and suicidality. He leads major projects like the NWO Gravitation Stress-in-Action (2023–2033) and NUDS (2023–2025), and contributes to pandemic-related research via PsyCorona and HowNutsAreTheDutch.
