Bert Koopmans is a Full Professor and Group Leader of the Physics of Nanostructures group at the Department of Applied Physics, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His academic journey includes a PhD from the University of Groningen (1993), a postdoctoral fellowship at Radboud University Nijmegen, and a Humboldt Fellowship at the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Physics in Stuttgart.
- Research Focus: Spintronics, nanomagnetism, ultrafast spin- and magnetization-dynamics, integrated magneto-photonics, and energy-efficient information technology.
- Affiliations: TU/e Institute for Integrated Photonics (initiator), board member of Dutch NanoLabNL.
