Prof. Dr. Bernhard Trautner is an Honorary Professor at the University of Tübingen's Institute of Political Science, within the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. His professional career includes roles in the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the German Development Institute in Bonn, and diplomatic postings such as at the German Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He holds a PhD (1997) from Bremen University and an M.A. (1992) from Heidelberg University.
