Dr. Bernhard Heider is a Lecturer at the University of Regensburg's Institute of Political Science, within the Faculty of Philosophy, Arts, History and Social Sciences. He holds two doctorates and specializes in political philosophy, political anthropology, and ethics. His research explores themes such as autonomy, identity, and the intersection of philosophy with contemporary social issues. He has taught courses ranging from ancient to modern political thinkers, including Plato, Rousseau, Habermas, and Camus. His publications span journals like the Salzburger Jahrbuch für Philosophie, and he contributed to the Lexicon for Theology and Church. Heider has also organized seminars on critical theory, deliberative democracy, and philosophical education for children.
His teaching history includes roles at LMU Munich and the University of Salzburg, covering topics like political theory, natural philosophy, and the philosophy of education.
