Bernd Süßmuth is a full Professor of Economics/Econometrics at the University of Leipzig's Faculty of Economics and Management Science, where he heads the Institute for Empirical Economic Research (IEW). He also holds a Research Fellow position at CESifo Munich. His academic career spans multiple prestigious institutions including TUM Munich University of Technology, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, University of California Santa Barbara, and several other German universities.
Dr. Süßmuth's educational background includes a Habilitation from TUM Munich (2009), a PhD (Dr. oec. publ.) from University of Munich (LMU) in 2002, and a Diplom (MA) in Economics from the same institution in 1997.
