Bernd Stannowski

Prof. Dr. Bernd Stannowski is a physicist and Professor at the Berlin University of Technology (BHT), specializing in silicon-based photovoltaics. He leads research at the Institute Competence Center Photovoltaics Berlin (PVcomB) and focuses on industry-compatible processes for solar cells and PV modules.

• Education: Doctorate in Physics (University of Utrecht, 1998–2002) with a thesis on 'Silicon-based thin-film transistors with high stability'; Physics Diploma Thesis at Jülich Research Center (1996–1997) on 'Transient photocurrents in amorphous thin-film semiconductors'; Undergraduate studies in Physics at RWTH Aachen and University of Duisburg (1991–1996).
