Bernd Schuette

Bernd Schuette is a Research Professor and Department Head of A4 'All-attosecond pump-probe spectroscopy' at the Max Born Institute for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopy in Berlin. His research focuses on ultrafast electron dynamics, attosecond science, and advanced laser technologies.

Research Highlights:

He pioneers all-attosecond pump-probe spectroscopy to study electron dynamics in atoms, molecules, and solids. His team developed a plasma lens for focusing attosecond pulses and is advancing a 40 kHz ytterbium laser system for attochemistry studies in low-density gas-phase molecules. Key areas include high-order harmonic generation, ultrafast laser-matter interactions, and extreme-ultraviolet spectroscopy.
