Bernd-Peter Paris is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at George Mason University, where he has served since 1987. He leads the MS in Telecommunications program and holds affiliations with the IEEE and Eta Kappa Nu. Dr. Paris specializes in communication systems, wireless networks, and information theory, with a focus on signal processing and adaptive techniques. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Rice University (1990) and a Diplom-Ingenieur from Ruhr-University Bochum (1986). His research explores mobile wireless networks, synthetic diversity, and interference mitigation, supported by awards like the NSF Research Initiation Award (1993-1996) and a Fulbright Scholarship (1986).
